Overall, the Ferrari 4000 lives up to the Ferrari name. The lackluster software bundle can be overlooked somewhat by the $2,199.00 US price tag of this system. Buyers of a notebook at that price pretty much know what they are getting into and will probably have all the software they already want without relying on any software bundles.

The Ferrari 4000 is uniquely designed and stylish despite its heavier weight. In terms of performance, though, this is definitely a powerhouse. Power users will salivate over the raw power it offers. And for those who want to live on the bleeding edge, the Ferrari 4000 is one of the few Turion 64 notebooks we’ve seen that officially supports Windows XP x64.

What we said about it:

The basic model goes for $899 US, so the LiveStrong notebook is accessible to all buyers including students and buyers on a budget. The fifty dollar donation is interesting too and reminds us of Ethos water, which is another brand that embeds a price premium with charitable intentions. Information and technology, according to Armstrong himself, empowers cancer patients and their families.

LiveStrong label aside, this is a solid laptop with snappy performance that would make a great primary computer for productivity applications, web browsing, e-mail and the odd piece of multimedia editing. The price also makes it attractive for those looking for a second PC at home as the LiveStrong comes with an outstanding widescreen display that should fill in great as a mobile DVD machine.
