Westwood Announces E3 Lineup

Date: May 3rd

Westwood Studios revealed its exciting '99 lineup for the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) being held in LA. Game demos and interviews will be conducted in the Electronic Arts Booth #900 in the South Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center on May 13-15.

From the blockbuster Command & Conquer(TM) series, Westwood will be showcasing Tiberian Sun, one of the most anticipated titles of '99. Set 20 years after the events of the first C&C, Tiberian Sun features dozens of new units and weapons, colored lighting effects, dynamic 3D terrain, realistic physics, fully reactive environment, and numerous multiplayer options.

Nox, Westwood's new Action/RPG, will also get its first public exposure at E3. Nox's lightning-fast action is fueled by a combat system that gives players tremendous gameplay depth and infinite possibilities. With more than 100 unique spells and weapons, players must use their wits to create devious combinations and sly tactics. The dynamic world of Nox is further enhanced with an advanced physics system that delivers realistic interaction between players and the environment. Roll boulders to block doors. Move candelabras to light a darkened room. Break through walls. Use water to extinguish flames. Nox is poised to become one of the hottest games of 1999.

For the Nintendo 64(R) game console, Westwood is showing Command & Conquer, from the best-selling, award-winning strategy game. C&C N64 features over 50 missions, a new 3D orientated battlefield, dozens of units, and support for Nintendo's 4-MB expansion pack for greater detail.
