Empire Interactive's E3 Lineup

Date: May 7th

Empire Interactive has announced its largest product lineup to date. It will debut the upcoming slate at this year's E3, introducing titles for the flight simulation, arcade and strategy categories.

First up is MiG Alley from Rowan Software. This air combat simulation returns to 1951 Korea for the world’s largest jet-to-jet dogfight. Featuring more than 200 aircraft in the air at the same time, 3D landscapes, radio chatter, Forward Air Controller, replay and full multiplayer support, this title is aiming to be the definitive 50s jet fighter simulation. It will ship for the PC in the third quarter 1999.

Wargamer: Napoleon 1813-1814 delivers historical dynamic campaigning, letting gamers rewrite history by managing entire campaigns across multiple countries. In an enormous strategic area stretching from Paris to Breslau and Hamburg to Vienna, the player can control everything from major strategic territorial decisions to tactical battle maneuvers. The object is to avoid the historical outcome of the surrender of Paris to the Allies. Wargamer is a third quarter 1999 release for the PC.

In the upcoming arcade action game titled Sheep, players must lead stupid breeds of sheep, behaving as dumb as their natural, eating, breathing, methane-producing cousins, through 16 levels of ever-increasing distractions, ranging from an ice cream factory to a UFO gathering point. Sheep is set for a fourth quarter 1999 release on both the PC and PlayStation.

Pro Pinball: Fantastic Journey is the fourth title in the acclaimed pinball series and sends players on a journey through time to the world of eccentric Professor Steam and his piston-powered inventions. Gamers will drill to the center of the Earth, soar to the highest mountains and build a submarine in a race to prevent the evil General Yagov from becoming the ruler of the world. Pro Pinball: Fantastic Journey will ship fourth quarter 1999 for the PC and PlayStation.

A successor to the innovative space strategy game, Stars! Supernova is under development. More detailed and intricate than the original, the game provides an intuitive graphical environment, 1800x1440 or higher resolutions and talon-to-tentacle battles with up to 16 opponents over the Internet or a LAN. It is set for a fourth quarter 1999 release on PC CD-ROM.

Following the acclaimed Apache Havoc, Comanche Hokum is next in the series, featuring two lethal scout assault helicopters, the US RAH-66 Comanche and the never-before-seen Russian Ka-52 HokumB. Both titles can be played head-to-head or cooperatively over inter-connectable combat zones. This title is slated for a fourth quarter 1999 release on PC CD-ROM.

Empire will also be showcasing for the first time a GT based auto-racing game for the PC and console platforms tentatively titled Motor Racing. Featured are go-anywhere driving, panel-based damage modeling and course replication -- down to the dirt marbles on the road. With a fourth quarter 1999 release date, more detailed information on this title will be available at the show.
