Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned

Date: May 13th

The best-selling adventure series is returning with a vengeance. Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned is the third title in the award-winning created by writer and game designer Jane Jensen. A controversial, reality-based mystery with a paranormal and political edge, Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned is a 3D adventure game weaving intrigue and the occult into a very powerful and compelling plot.

High in the mountains of France, the unassuming town of Rennes-le-Chateau hides an insidious secret. Generation after generation of religious historians, researchers of the occult and covetous treasure hunters have tried to reveal the truths hidden there. Now it is Gabriel Knight's turn. A centuries-old enigma involving the Knights Templar, lost treasure, the Holy Grail and the bloodline of Jesus aches to be solved -- and Gabriel begins to suspect that everything in the restful countryside is not as peaceful as it appears. Before he and his associate, Grace, are done, they must rescue a missing heir and reveal secrets buried not only in the hills of France but in the lineage of Gabriel Knight himself.

You will play as both Gabriel and Grace as you decipher complex clues and integrated puzzles to get to the bottom of the story. The game is played in time blocks over three days. Created with a custom-built engine, it will feature highly detailed 3D characters in a real time 3D virtual world. Dynamic and colored lighting effects add to the characters' realism, while the voices of professional actors, such as Tim Curry as Gabriel Knight, bring them to life. The player can take complete control of the camera to freely explore the 3D environments or choose from several pre-determined angles.
