Hasbro to remake Monopoly, Scrabble & Trivial Pursuit

Date: May 13th

Hasbro Interactive's flagship title, Monopoly CD-ROM, will be updated with state-of-the-art technology and the most requested new features from fans in a new version of the game, coming out later in the year, according to Hasbro Interactive.

While Monopoly is getting a fresh new look, two other family favorites are also being revamped: Word-game classic Scrabble and the popular trivia game, Trivial Pursuit. All three games will get 3D enhancements, new animations and other features that are only possible by bringing the game into the realm of 3D.

"Monopoly CD-ROM was the title that launched Hasbro Interactive," said Hasbro Interactive president Tom Dusenberry. "We did an extraordinary job with it at that time, but now we have advanced technology, better tools and four years of expertise in developing interactive games to give the world's most popular board game an even greater interactive spin."

The new versions of Scrabble CD-ROM, Monopoly CD-ROM and Trivial Pursuit Millennium Edition CD-ROM will be available this fall. All three games are currently on Display at Hasbro Interactive's E3 booth # 1146, South Hall.
