Fox Interactive releases Alien vs. Predator

Date: May 13th

From E3, Fox Interactive has announced the release of Aliens vs. Predator, a 3D action game for the PC developed by Rebellion. Offering three totally unique first-person gaming perspectives, the game features some of Fox's most notorious sci-fi creatures. It is available for Windows 95 and 98 at a suggested retail price of $49.98. Creating an original adventure by combining story elements from the "Alien" and "Predator" series of films, Aliens vs. Predator allows players to choose from one of three different first-person gaming perspectives: the Alien, Predator or Colonial Marine. Their mission varies depending on the role they choose, offering a complete diverse gaming experience with different game objectives, view perspectives, different strengths and physical abilities.

The game features over 40 different levels of environments such as spaceships, Alien temples and underground caverns. In addition, it offers multi-player capabilities, enabling gamers to battle it out online in modes such as Species War, Co-op, Deathmatch, Tag and more. Gamers can revisit levels as different characters, exploring areas that were inaccessible to them before to fight both sides of a battle. An advanced physics system allows Aliens to crawl over walls, ceilings or any other surface. Players have total freedom of movement to glance up and down, jumping and scaling the 360-degree environments. Dynamic lighting and particle effects adds effects such as damage to the walls, flares that light up the rooms, missiles that soar down corridors lighting up the walls and lighting fixtures that can be destroyed.
