Hostile Waters
Scheduled for launch Q4 2000, Hostile Waters, under development at Rage Software's Birmingham studios, is a real-time 3D action strategy wargame boasting a new level of realism and depth of gameplay.
Scripted by a professional author, Hostile Waters' plot centres around a New World peace in 2013, shattered by a powerful force of Old World despots and military dictators, uncomfortable with the new order, hankering for the days of continual instability and war-driven economies. Like the die-hard Communists after Glasnost, they miss the glory days, choosing to ignore the persecution, suppression and plain fear that ruled the lives of the masses during these times.
Played from both third and first person perspectives, the mission-based game combines fast and frenetic action missions with resource management and more complex, strategically paced objectives.
